Thank you for your interest in serving as a volunteer with West Georgia FCA!


FCA volunteers play a vital role in moving the ministry forward on our school campuses and in our community. We have four key volunteer roles where you can serve alongside our West Georgia FCA staff.

A Campus Coach is a high-capacity volunteer who assists FCA Staff in identifying and meeting the overall needs on one specific campus.

  • Adheres to FCA policies and statement of faith
  • Approved Ministry Leader Application (MLA) on file
  • Attends Grab Your Cleats volunteer orientation
  • Communicates with Character Coaches, Huddle Sponsor, and FCA Staff to identify needs on campus 
  • Assists in planning FCA events, meetings on campus, and service opportunities 
  • Promotes FCA on campus and in the community
  • Meets weekly with FCA Staff via phone or in person regarding campus
  • Plans a minimum of two scheduled visits to campus per week 
  • Builds a team atmosphere among volunteers on campus
  • Fosters spiritual, character, and leadership growth through FCA with your presence and participation

A Character Coach is a volunteer who consistently serves a team with a focus on spiritual, character, and leadership development.

  • Adheres to FCA policies and statement of faith
  • Approved Ministry Leader Application (MLA) on file
  • Attends Grab Your Cleats volunteer orientation
  • Communicates with Campus Coach and FCA Staff to identify needs of a team
  • Assists in planning FCA events and service opportunities for a team 
  • Promotes FCA on campus and in the community
  • Fosters spiritual, character, and leadership growth through FCA with your presence and participation 
  • Works with Campus Coach, Team Manager, and FCA Staff to develop ministry plan for a specific team in-season and off-season (pre-game meals, team devotionals, game attendance, FCA camp participation)

A Team Manager is a volunteer who assists a Character Coach in meeting the needs of a team (i.e. providing snacks, writing encouragement notes, praying for the team, etc.).

  • Adheres to FCA policies and statement of faith
  • Approved Ministry Leader Application (MLA) on file
  • Attends Grab Your Cleats volunteer orientation
  • Communicates with Character Coach to identify needs of a team (i.e. pre-game meals, providing snacks, Scripture cards, encouragement notes, prayer, etc.) 
  • Assists in planning FCA events and service opportunities for a team 
  • Promotes FCA on campus and in the community

A General Volunteer is a volunteer who periodically helps meet specific tangible needs on a campus (i.e. concession stand, chain crew, scoreboard operators, field clean-up days, serving team meals, etc.).

  • Adheres to FCA policies and statement of faith
  • Approved Ministry Leader Application (MLA) on file
  • Serves alongside Campus Coach and FCA Staff to meet needs on campus  
  • Promotes FCA on campus and in the community
